Soon Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loréto will be offering members and hotel guests a chance to play golf on a stunning new course, designed by world renowned Rees Jones, overlooking the gorgeous Danzante Bay. Well within view of the shimmering Sea of Cortez, this course will be the ultimate experience for golf enthusiasts whether they’re amateurs or professionals.

With over 170 courses to his name, Rees Jones certainly is an expert in his field; this 18 hole course is being designed to work with the natural environment and maximize the stunning views on offer while still providing a pleasant challenge for golfers.

Together with his design team, Jones is bringing to life a course of stunning beauty overlooked by the Giganta mountains. Using Paspalum turf, a material perfect for the Baja California climate, Jones aims to make a course that minimizes the environmental effect of his creation. With sandy pockets, green contours that will be manageable in high wind and a lake at the very centre which will connect holes 10 and 11, the 7,400 yard course will showcase a number of different landscapes and aims to be accessible to golfers of all calibers.
