At this time, Mexico is not an area of concern for the coronavirus. Currently, the Centers for Disease Control has only issued travel advisories for visitors that plan to travel to China, Iran, Japan, Italy, South Korea and Hong Kong. In general, the CDC provides recommendations on postponing or canceling travel when there are potential health risks. These travel notices are based on an assessment of the potential health risks involved for travelers that plan to visit certain areas of the world. Currently, Mexico only has five confirmed cases of Coronavirus and the cases are isolated in the country’s capital and not in beachfront tourist destinations. Therefore, don’t let your travel plans be affected as Mexico continues to be a safe and beautiful country to visit for your next vacation to paradise.

  • Avoid contact with sick people.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Especially avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer can be used in a pinch and make sure it contains 60%–95% alcohol. Soap and water is always preferred when hands are visibly dirty.
  • Always clean hands after going to the bathroom, before eating, after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose.
  • Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.
  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet.
  • Exercise regularly.
